ANN (TILTON) NEWPORT
November 10, 1924 January 9, 2021
Daughter of Warren D. Tilton and Eugenia Wright, sister of Edith Tilton Hickes and brother of Warren D. Tilton Jr.
Surviving family consists of son John S. Craig, daughter Margaret Craig-Chang, son-in-law Gary Chang, grand daughter Ann Lee Chang, grand son Arthur Craig Chang. Husband Elswick Newport (retired Colonel, US Army) preceded her death on September 24, 2020.
Grew up on the Tilton Leghorn Farm in Colorado Springs. A long-time resident of Colorado Springs and an educator and elementary school principal with the Aurora Public School system for 26 years. She served as a brilliant inspiration to students, friends, and family.
To be interred at Arlington National Cemetery with husband.
