Ann Wishchhusen Obituary

Ann L. Wischhusen passed away peacefully October 9, 2009 with her family around her. She was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado since 1964. She was a telephone operator for Colorado College in Colorado Springs. Ann Blomquist was born November 14, 1928 to Wallace and Grace (Olsen) Blomquist in Rock Island, Illinois. Ann married her love Donald Wischhusen on October 9, 1949 in Galesburg, Illinois. Ann loved stories, both reading and creating. She enjoyed the students at Colorado College that came through her department, and was still in contact with many of them through the years. Ann's greatest joy came from her family and grandchildren. Ann is survived by her children, Lynn Wischhusen of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Vicki McCaslin, and David Wischhusen both of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brother Clark Blomquist. Ann was preceded in death by her husband Donald, and brothers William and Bruce Blomquist. A celebration of life will be held in Ann's honor 10:00 a.m. Thursday October 15, 2009 at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Pikes Peak Hospice 825 E. Pikes Peak Suite 600 Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
