Anna Maye Stone was born on a farm in Iowa on April 4th, 1936, into a family of two sisters and two brothers. She would watch the neighborhood children and walk to school every day. After graduating nursing school and marrying Warren Stone in 1958, she moved to Colorado Springs where she soon gave birth to their first son Larry. In 1960, she gave birth to Timmy. Steve was born in 1961, followed by Daniel in 1966.
Anna was a homemaker until 1971, when Warren retired and she became a full-time nurse doing home healthcare and working at Penrose hospital. She also worked at Myron Stratton, and retired from Memorial Hospital. She loved the great outdoors, wildflowers, homemade food, ice cream, crafting, and family. She passed in Iowa on July 28th, 2022.
