Arlene Walters Obituary

Another year has gone by. I survived my knee surgery & physical therapy. Knee still bothers me some & it will probably be numb forever. Other knee will be done later. I still miss our talks & moms as I don't have anyone really! Love & miss you!!

Love and miss you Aunt Arlene. We will be going to your gravesites soon, Debra painted rocks to place on all your headstones. Hope you are all having a great time in Heaven.

I know I said this before, but I sure miss our talks. You and mom behave yourselves, ha ha ha. See you down the road!

Norman and Arlene were our wonderful neighbors at the Air Force Academy for 4 years.

Kimberly hope you remember us, you and our daughter Christa were friends and playmates all those 4 years. We remember Donnie so much playing with our Son Chuckie.
We remember when Don Jr was born
and how excited your parents were to have all of you!

Wow, as I get older time seems to fly by. We miss you & Norman. I know you two & Mom & Dad & many family members are together again, so that makes you not being here a little easier. Love and Miss You!!

I remeber you as a dear friend. Our friendship began in 1967 at the USAF Academy. I know yours was the longest friendship of my life. You are missed. Look down on those of us that loved you and watch over us with God's permission. Thank you for being my friend.

My thoughts often go back to our time as friends. You were the longest friendship I had. You are dearly missed and I know you are happy in heaven with your loved ones beside you. I know God blessed you in so many ways and He still has you in His embrace.

You are truly missed by all!! I hope you and Norman are with my mom and dad and having a blast. We love you all!! You would not want to be down here in the crazy world today, its scary. Until we all meet again

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

Arlene was one of the first friends that I made in 1967, when my family and I were stationed at the USAF Academy. She was a woman of moral and ethical values and lived them daily. She was one of the best homemakers and mothers . We chatted almost daily, and she was a wonderful support when my husband was killed. I miss her and am so grateful that she and I had a chance to talk just a few hours before she died. I know that God has her in His arms and needed her in heaven.

Wow, time has flown by. We all still love and miss you, but know mom and dad are with you now too. My hope is your all up there together and having a blast. Until we all meet again

Well it is Christmas and the family is going to get together. It will be so strange without you & Carla's BF Don. Mom & Dad not going to make it this year for medical reason's but we are with them for awhile this morning. I know
you will still be with us. Love & miss you!!

Merry Christmas Eve Aunt Arlene...we all love and miss you. Debra is going to make your strawberry pretzel salad in your honor. I will have some for you and Don, he just loved it!! Holidays just won't be the same without you :(

Just wanted to say that we miss and love you Aunt Arlene...You will be missed on Christmas day also, we are at the Phoenix Inn again. Hope you and Don will be there in spirit and we all will be thinking of you! xoxo

Yesterday was Thanksgiving, you were in part of my Thanksgiving dinner prayer in addition to my nightly ones. I really miss you, but so many things in my daily life bring you to mind. For instance Dancing with the Stars ended & I realized we hadn't talked about or called each other, I wonder who you would have liked to win it. Just little things. I picked up a spoon holder in the kitchen & thought of you as you had made it. It is funny how certain things that really have no meaning especially to others trigger a memory. They make me a little sad but again make me smile. Love & miss you!

Thinking of you today & missing you. Two more of our friends passed away within the last 5 days. You know how it is when you belong to organizations & have that 2nd family. I realize this is all part of life, but doesn't make it easier. I know you will always be with us which gives me comfort. My phone is pretty quiet as is my Mom's (Norma), we so miss our talks! Love you!

Arlene, I miss our 1 hour + afternoon talks. Every time the phone rings between 2:30 & 3:30, I expect it to be you. You would be proud of your family, they tried to do everything you would have wanted during this sad time. See you again.....

You are a gem! I was very blessed to have met you and to know you for the short time I did. I thank you for all your love and support and for accepting me into your life. You are in my heart now and forever.

Aunt Arlene: This really has been a difficult time & you are in my prayers each night. You were a big part of my life & I thank you so much for your love, your guidance your support,& getting to experience new things throughout my life, etc. I will miss our long phone calls, our visits as I was just around the corner from you. I will miss our discussions on TV shows we watched & you calling me to tell me something was on, etc. Wow, you left a gap, but I do realize you are now with other loved one's & free of pain. I love you & will see you again one day......

My friend Arlene, writing this obituary about you was not a gesture I ever expected to do for you . I am very aware that I will never find another friend like you . You were more than a friend in so many ways. You told me several times that you felt I acted as your therapist, I was really only a good friend that you could openly confide in as you did the same for me .The things we sahred were so varied and some sad, some funny and some practical . I know you'll be well and have no worries in God's arms . You have so many loved ones there with you .We are the ones left here to mourn you and carry on . May we live up to the task for your sake . Smile for us and send us a sign that you know we will recognize . Rest and feel the joy you missed here on earth .
