Arlene Chaney Williams age 82 of Colorado Springs, passed away Thurs. Nov. 26, 2009 in Centennial, CO. Visitation Tues, Dec. 1, 2009 from 10:00 a.m until service time at 1:30 p.m. at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, Sterling, CO. Rev. James R. Nash officiating. Burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. Arlene was born Nov. 14, 1927 in Sharon Springs, Kansas to Russell John Chaney and Amelia K. Brunkhorst. She graduated from McCook High School in 1946. On Feb. 22, 1948 in McCook, NE she married Robert P. Williams. She had lived in Colo. Springs since 1964. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Hutchinson, KS and the Fountain Valley Senior Citizen Center in Fountain, CO. She is survived by sons: Robert Williams and wife Gloria, Colo. Springs and Ted Williams of Colo. Springs. Daughters Carol Ann Williams and Max Romero, Colo Springs and Amelia Webber and husband Don, Bailey, CO. Brother Russ Chaney, Sterling, CO; Sisters-in-law Carmen Chaney, Kearney, NE, Maxine Chaney, Denver, CO, Betty Ambrose and husband Frank, Gloversville, NY, Rose Ann Wahl, Pensacola, Florida, Helen Williams Reseda, CA. Grandson Luke Williams and wife Jennifer, Highland Ranch, CO and great grandson Grant Williams. She was preceded in death by husband Robert Williams in 1996, brothers Vern Chaney and Paul Chaney and sister Julene Allen.
