Art Archuleta Obituary

Art Archuleta, age 56, a resident of Fountain, Colorado since 1977 and previously of Trinidad, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs. He was a Water Operator for the City of Fountain. Arthur Richard Archuleta was born on February 27, 1949 in Trinidad to Richard and Tomasita (Santisteven) Archuleta. He married Shirley Ann Skeldum on April 16, 1966 in Trinidad. His wife survives and lives in Fountain. He is survived by five daughters: Brenda (husband Steven) Muniz of Midway, Colorado, Loretta (husband Glenn) Vasquez of Antonito, Colorado, Shirley Ellen Archuleta of San Antonio, Texas, Jennifer (husband Ray) Reyes of Fountain, and Maria Archuleta of Fountain. Also surviving are four brothers: Fred Trujillo, Charles, Louie, and Ronald Archuleta; two sisters Irene Apodaca and Carol Madrid; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Raphael and a daughter Valerie. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the Chapel. Entombment will be at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum. A reception will follow the services at Victory World Outreach at Hancock and South Academy Boulevard. Blessed be his memory.
