We have been out of state and just heard about Art. We are sorry to have missed his service.

We met Art in the early 80's when I worked in Colorado Springs. We have considered him a friend every since. We would try to meet at least once a year at Gordo's Restaurant in Denver to discuss politics, ranching and, most of all, his family. He was so proud of his family! We will miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Anyone who has ever known Art is indeed, truly blessed. The ranch was the first place I ever rented and cherish the many memories I had there. He was a great landlord! Many years later, I bought the local tavern, where he'd come in as often as he could to say hello. I'll never forget the first time there when he told me how proud he was of me & my accomplishments - he made my heart full. As some of you know, he had a 'special' way of 'teaching'! He will be missed. God Bless You All & Continue making him proud!

Dear Gallegos Family,
I met Art and Yolanda while I worked with the Colorado Board of Appraisers. He was a kind person that left an impression on my heart. I know that his family was the most important thing in his life - followed by his cattle. I will never forget when we held a conference call meeting during calfing. Art was delivering a calf during the meeting and didn't miss a beat with the Board! This is a great loss!
Sincerely, Cecilia Romero

To the Precious Family of Art Gallegos: We are praying for you and know that Art has walked into the arms of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God. The Bible says: Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. Ps. 116:15 The Bible also says that God owns the cattle on a thousand hills, so be encouarged as Art is at home with Jesus and they may be sorting cattle. Press into God and put your head on His chest and let Him hold you through this time of grief and pain at your great loss. God will catch every tear because God loves you very much and so do we. Love and Prayers

I worked with and around Art for many years while with Colorado Dept of Labor and Employment. He was truly a man's man. He will be remembered by those who knew him as humorous, devoted, and loyal and a "straight shooter." Who will ever forget the summer Art offered his land out in what was then rural Falcon, Colorado so we could hold our annual picnic and circumvent local city open container laws. It was truly a day and evening all in attendance will hopefully always remember. He was truly a fun person to be around but could share his wisdom with you while not alienating you. Happy Trails my friend. We will meet again.
