Betty Jean Priddy
1935 - 2017
Betty Jean Priddy went home to be with the Lord, December 22, 2017 due to complications related to Alzheimer's disease. She was born December 10, 1935 in Durango Colorado. Betty served in the Navy where she met Dave in 1956 and they were married 2 1/2 months later.
Betty is preceded in death by her brother, Richard Engler, daughter, Arleen Priddy, and granddaughter Tara Rogers. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, her sister, Grace Holcomb and two brothers, David and Ernest Engler, two daughters, Debbie Schramek and Donna Rogers. Also, surviving Betty are her three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Betty was a homemaker who cherished caring for her family, gardening and playing the piano. She was known as an encourager and had a beautiful spirit for praying with and for others. She never knew a stranger and everyone she met received a hug. She loved people and giving flowers.
The family would like to thank the staff, caregivers and residents at Morning Star Assisted Living in Colorado Springs for their care and love for Betty.
A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2018, The First United Methodist Church, 420 North Nevada Ave. Colorado Springs, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association or the Navigators.
