Brenda Warner Obituary

Brenda Eilene (Lingo) Warner passed away May 27, 2006 from Lou Gehrigs Disease. She was born on August 27, 1946 in Ovid, MI to Eugene and Nina (Crawford) Lingo who precede her in death. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and homemaker. She graduated from Immanuel Lutheran School Jr. High School. She moved to Owosso, MI where she completed her schooling. She moved to live with her sister in California where she met her husband, Larry Warner, who survives her. They were married on February 25, 1972. Larry was in the Navy and they spent many years traveling to different places before returning to Colorado Springs. Brenda loved her computer, crocheting and baking. At Christmas time you could always find her in the kitchen making donuts, cookies and candy for her family. She was always looking for some new kind of bread to make. Her mother-in-law, Florence Shockley, from Colorado Springs, survives. She is also survived by her four daughters: Carla (Tony) Komatz from Carbondale, CO., Dawn (Scott) Kottke and Paula Burlingame from Colorado Springs and Cathy (Anton) Parrish from Farmington, NM.; two sons: Clifford Warner from Colorado Springs and Steve (Cory) Warner from Sebastian, FL.; one sister, Darlene Miller from Colorado Springs; two brothers: Dick (Sally) Marr from MI., and David (Pat) Marr from Denver, CO. Brenda had 16 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her sister, Frances Martin preceded her in death. Memorial Services will be held at Capadonna Funeral Home on June 3, 2006 at 11:00. Reception will follow at 4818 Jedediah Smith Rd., Colorado Springs, CO. With thoughts of deepest Sympathy. When God calls His children home, their Angles come to take

them by the hand, leading them along a shining path into a place of peace and light. Home at last,

they see the Lord opening His arms and welcoming them with a smile into the everlasting joy that

is His love. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. Although it’s sad to lose those who are

dear to us, there is comfort in remembering all the times Brenda made such a difference in our lives.

I only knew Brenda as a cyber friend, but a friend that touched my soul and bright joy to my heart

many times. I will truly miss Brenda and all her all her great emails.

Dearest Cousin Brenda,

Darlene contacted me about your passing and I am thankful to her for that or I would not have known. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to share our common family histories together and hope to continue some day with you in that far and glorious home.

My love and prayers go out to you and to your family who are enduring a very traumatic time in their lives.

Mom, I’m so glad you allowed me to call you mom. I miss you very much, you always treated me fairly...as long as I brought you your Wawa coffee. :) You have raised an awesome daughter (Dawn) and I’m so proud to be her husband and part of your family. I hope you didn’t mind the way I teased you all the time, I enjoyed your reactions and comebacks as much as you did. You are missed very much and one day we’ll meet again.

Love, Scott

Mom,

I miss you. I know in my heart you are where you always felt you belonged. I want to thank you for being such a wonderful mom, thank you for all you words of encouragment. I want thank you for being my teacher, my friend, my cook, my waitress, my maid, my chauffeur, my doctor and nurse and all the other things you did to make us a family, not because you had to but because you wanted to. I just want to say thank you for everthing. I love you tons and tons.
