Brent Lee Winston passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024, while doing what he loved most, riding horses and working the ranch. Brent was born on March 29, 1981, in Colorado Springs. He graduated from Peyton High School and went on to graduate from Western State University in Gunnison. Brent played football and baseball in high school and was an avid Bronco fan.
Brent is survived by his wife Adrienne; children Harper, Cheyenne, and Tynlee; parents Patty (Paul) Magginetti and Darrell (Nancy) Winston, grandfather Donald Whittier; sisters Heather (Michael) Miller and Jamie (Scott) Snider; brothers Justin (Terra) Winston, Adam (Rachel) Magginetti and Hunter (Emily) Magginetti; and many in the extended family. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Phyllis Whittier; paternal grandmother and grandfather Wayne and Doris Winston; and uncle Jerry Whittier.
A cowboy celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 12:00-4:00 at Messser Arena and Event Center in Kiowa, CO.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the WRCA Crisis Fund in memory of Brent.

I had Brent as a student and advisersat Western. I´m so sad to learn of his death. Such a nice guy. I remember he taught a great lesson on roping at Gunnison High School one time when I was observing. Sending healing hugs to his family,
