Brett Michael Weida was born on March 8,1969 in San Luis Obispo to Chuck and Ann Weida. He passed away on May 17th of a heart attack. Brett never knew a stranger, and he brought a smile to everyone he met. His father was a career Air Force man, so Brett traveled extensively. He lived in California, Colorado, Alabama, Hawaii, Arizona, and Germany. Overseas he took the opportunity to travel to most of the countries in Western Europe. Brett loved people and took great joy in discovering other cultures. He enjoyed sports: especially football, basketball, golf and bowling. His favorite hobbies were billiards and Scrabble, but he had no greater joy than the joy that he experienced by being a father. Brett is survived by his mother Ann Weida, two brothers Jim (Nicole), Mark (Shannon), wife Wendy, and three children Teo (Andy), Hunter (Julia) and Madison (Michael), four grandchildren Owen, Loch and Quincy Pittman and Rayni Weida. He was preceded in death by his father Chuck, son Deven, three uncles and all four grandparents. He will be dearly missed by many, but especially his family. There will be a memorial service on Friday, August 16th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at 6455 Brook Park Drive in Colorado Springs. The memorial mass will be preceded by a rosary for all who care to attend.
