Carol Ann (Cool) Stratton passed away peacefully on August 27, 2024 in her Colorado Springs home.
Carol was born on July 12, 1936 and lived her entire life in Colorado Springs. She attended school at St. Mary's and graduated in 1954. She married Neal Stratton on November 6, 1954. They had three children, Brad, Donna and Dale. In 1961, Carol started working at First National Bank and she stayed there until she retired in 1995.
Carol's number one love was her family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carol also enjoyed spending time with her many friends.
After almost 64 years of marriage, Neal passed away in 2018. Also preceding Carol in death are her sister and her son-in-law. Carol is survived by her three children, 3 daughters-in-law, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 2 starting at 11:00 am, followed by a reception and remembrance at the Hope House. Hi. I am so sorry and sad to hear of Carol's passing.
We were close friends for decades. I would cut her hair every three weeks. We talked about every thing "from soup to nuts". But mostly, about her children and grandchildren. Oh, how she loved you! I loved every thing about Carol. I loved to hear about her long time friendships, and how she continued to get together with her pals from high school!
