Caroline Archuleta Obituary

Caroline Archuleta, 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 6, 2006, she was a 45 year resident of Colorado Springs. Caroline was born on January 1, 1911 in Pass Creek, Colorado to Garcy and Rebecca (Gallegos) Vasquez. In January 1928 she married, Antonio S. Archuleta and out of this union came six wonderful children. Caroline is survived by her son, Albert (wife Frances) Archuleta; four daughters: Venita (husband Abe) Bravo, Carol Jean (husband Archie) Camp, Emma (husband Toby) Barela and Shirley (husband Bob) Walden; nine grandchildren: Debbie Wheeler, Laurie Santana, Julie Martinez, Toby Lee Barela, Tommy Barela, Danny Barela, Mark North, Albert Archuleta, Jr., and Talitha Krause; 15 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and one sister: Amalia Marquez. Her parents; husband Antonio; brothers; sisters; and one son, Alberto Archuleta preceded her in death. Caroline was a housekeeper, and loved flowers, birds, her church and all of her children and family. A visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery following the funeral.

Albert, Fran,Carol,Emma,Shirley.and extended family. Carolina left so many beautiful memories with us and I cherish them all, she was a blessing to us.She especially loved to share the Lord with us and I commend her for that.
