Carolyn Brown passed away on December 25, 2021. She was a beloved mother, aunt, sister, and grandmother. She was born on January 20, 1951 to Vinton and Volna Brown (Slater).
She was proceeded in death by her parents and her sister, Kathryn Jo McCullough.
She is survived by her brother, Doug Brown; and her children: Amie Bynes, Michael Joiner, James Joiner, and Jennifer Trowbridge. She has seven beautiful grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Carolyn graduated from Mitchell High School in 1969 and continued advancing her career with Mountain Bell/AT&T. While working and raising four children, she was able to obtain a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in history from UCCS. She retired from Lucent Technologies in 1999 and obtained her license to become a realtor and property manager soon after.
She enjoyed traveling, staying at her cabin in the mountains, and being with her family. She also enjoyed spending time with her best friend, and beloved sister, Kathy.
Carolyn was a supportive and dedicated mother who focused her love and energy on her children and grandchildren. She will forever be in her family's heart. We will all cherish the moments of laughter and joy with her. Carolyn will be dearly missed.
