Claudette Bedingfield (1945-2023) of Monument, Colorado died at home on February 11 after a laborious, stocking-footed dance marathon with the other Big C. She claimed to be 39 years old yet managed to remain a redhead for slightly over 77 years. Originally from the Big Easy, Claudette was a 40-year resident of the Tri-Lakes Area. She often frequented the ritzier joints around town with her high school sweetheart-cum-husband of 56 years, Ray, who she tragically lost to Alzheimer's in 2019. When not providing salty color commentary for cable infotainment programs from her living room couch, Claudette approached life with a childlike wonder that inevitably endeared her to friends and passersby alike. She saw, smelled, and felt flowers, and she prolifically painted pictures of them, among other subjects, as a long-time active member of the local arts community. She is survived by her two children, Kenny Bedingfield (current location unknown) and Laurel Bedingfield of Monument, who will both preserve the guilt from every trip for posterity as if family heirlooms. She was the world's greatest grandma (with a coffee mug to prove it) to her grandsons Logan and Jay, upon whom she doted relentlessly. We love you, Ma.

Claudette´s Dad married myself and my husband. The entire McQuiddy family held a special place in my heart. I know she will be missed by many but is having a joyous reunion in heaven. Prayers to all.

There are no words when you loose a lifelong friend. Memories that bring smiles yet many tears flow. Claudette is still with me and will be until my passing day. I love all of the McQuiddy/Bedingfield family.

Claudette approached life in a happy positive manner that could be felt by just being near her. I have one of her beautiful paintings and will treasure it always. Although this loss is tragic, it warms my heart knowing she has reunited with Ray and this time it´s forever. God speed Claudette. Forever in my heart. RIP

My sister Claudette will not long be forgotten... she left not only the footprint of art, family and friends but a testimony to compassionate living that never took it too seriously but always extracted it's joy. She wrote her last chapter well.

My deepest sympathies to the family of Claudette. Though I did not know her, what her obituary said about her, gave me a quick glimpse of her wonderful life. She was an amazing person and I'm sure she will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace and may God be with you and your family at this sad time.
