Clemmie Johnson Obituary

Clemmie Elwwod Johnson, age 75, Sunrise August 29, 1930, Sunset October 25, 2005. Mr. Johnson was born in Bahama, N.C. to Elwood and Lillie Johnson, who preceded him in death; along with his sister, Lillette Settles. Clemmie was a graduate of Little River High School, after which he served 23 years in the United Armed Forces. After retiring from the army, he served ten years as an El Paso County Deputy Sheriff. He is survived by his six children: Saundra Johnson, Highlands Ranch, CO; Craig (Kortnee) Johnson, Phoenix, Arizona; Elwood (Jackie) Johnson of St. Louis, MO; Sharon and Claudette Johnson of Colorado Springs, CO; Linda (Tony) Jimenez of Tempe, AZ; three grandchildren: Mahogany Declue, Exzavier Johnson and Madison McBride; one great-grandchild, Trinity Declue; his sister, Barbara Johnson of New York City, New York; his companion of 25 years, Ruby Farr-Burden; and previous wife, Elizabeth Bronaugh of Colorado Springs, CO. Visitation will be held 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2005 at Chapel of Memories. Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2005 at the Chapel of Memories S. Hancock Ave. Burial will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO. Reception to follow immediately after the funeral service at the funeral home.

We were so sad to hear of Mr. Johnson's passing, he was a very nice man and a great neighbor. We enjoyed chatting with him whenever he was sitting on his porch. We wish we would have had more time together to become better acquainted. Our prayers are with the family.
