Clyde Casey Obituary
Clyde owned several businesses (such as Casey's House of Pets) and served El Paso County as the Director of Purchasing. He created centralized purchasing for the County and helped create 911, the Pikes Peak Performing Arts Center, and multiple county parks including Black Forest Regional.
He was a professional, Western entertainer performing with his band the Trailriders in the Garden of the Gods for the JC Chuck Wagon Dinners. Clyde was also a bestselling cookbook author some of his works were, Red or Green, and New Mexico Cuisine.
He refurbished the General Palmer statue so that it would survive another 100 years as well as the dedication plaque for the Garden of the Gods.
Following his retirement from El Paso County TMC of Roswell, NM hired him where he and Millie relocated in 1989.

We had the pleasure of visiting with Clyde and Millie on a trip to New Mexico. We live in Indianapolis, Indiana. I was given a copy of Sassy Southwest Cooking. Clyde autographed the copy for me. I can still remember how much fun it was to spend the afternoon with Clyde and Millie. Amazing people who welcome us into there home and made feel so comfortable.
