Conte Emanuel Smith-El
1992 - 2017
On December 19, 1992 Conte Emanuel Smith-El was born to the union of Conte C. Smith-El and Barbara L. Jones. When Conte entered the world, he came out the womb fighting, even knocking the doctor's glasses sideways.
Conte was raised in Detroit, Michigan where he attended Detroit Public Schools. He confessed his life to Christ at a very early age at Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church.
During his senior year at Martin Luther King Jr. High School he worked at the Salvation Army helping others. Upon graduating from high school Conte relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado with his sister Charmaine L. Jones to have a promising life. He was so gentle, sweet, kind, and full of love. He always had smiles to share and hugs to give.
Service will be held at Angelus, 1104 S Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Tuesday, 11/7/2017 at 5:00 pm. Burial will be on 11/11/17 - 2:00 pm at Detroit Memorial Park in Reford, Michigan.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wonderful parents, Conte C. Smith-El and Barbara L. Jones, one daughter Contia Smith; sister Charmaine L. Jones; niece Londyn Stapleton; nephew Braylen Benison and a host of relatives and friends.
