Thinking of you lately, Dan. I miss you. I'm inserting you into both a story for work and a poem. Think you would have liked that.

My fellow Terrapin alumni, dedicated father, dog lover, puzzle solver, soul searcher, questioner of authority, tireless democrat with undiminishing faith in the system, a rockstar by night and satellite engineer by day, all wrapped in a mortal body with an immortal smile... I love you, buddy.

Dan has been one of my best friends since grade school. I will miss our talking about life over Risk games, my friend...

Dan was my friend for 25 years. He was my first acquaintance when I started working at CSC, and we worked closely on a variety of projects throughout those years. He showed me the ropes at Goddard, he helped me staff the SEF. We moved on to Colorado together where he not only helped me at work, but he helped me build my garage. We were friends, and although he had many, I had few and I will miss him sorely.

Dan was my software development teammate for over 10 years at CSC until 2013. His knowledge of satellite orbit mechanics was outstanding. His love of his family and pets was evident in his conversations at work, especially of his daughter, Kaitlin. I will miss him.

I worked with Dan in Colorado Springs. He was a really nice guy, great to work with, and really loved his daughter and dogs. I am so sorry to hear of his passing.

I worked with Dan while he was at Goddard back in the late 80s and early 90s. He was very low key, sharp as a tack, and very personable. We still use some of the algorithms he developed. I'm sorry and shocked to hear about Dan's untimely passing. My condolences to his family.
