Manfred Erich Frey passed away April 8, 2026. He was born October 31, 1934 in Tilsid, Germany and immigrated to the USA in 1958. The US Army soon drafted him and sent him back to Germany to work. While there he met his wife Ursula, who has been his companion for 64 years through good times and bad. They had one son, Detlef (Maggie) who died in 2016 from Frontal Temporal Dementia. Manfred and Ursula have two grandchildren, Julie (Rusty) and Erich (Amanda).
Manfred's special love was sailing. He started out with a small boat in Bonnie Reservoir, then a bigger boat on Lake Pueblo and on to the Gulf of Mexico and The Bahamas.
In 1988, Manfred and Ursula founded MF Physics, which they sold in 2000. In retirement he and his wife traveled throughout the United States and Canada, as well as numerous trips in the Caribbean. They also spent many winters in Cape Coral, Florida.
According to his wishes, no religious services are planned. A celebration of life will be held later in the year. The family wishes to thank the 5th floor staff at Brookdale Skyline, as well as the staff of Colorado Palliative and Hospice Care.
