DAVID L STRICKER

David L. (Dave, Strick) Stricker, age 63, a resident of Colorado Springs for over 30 years, passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 at home. Dave was born on May 11, 1955 in Great Lakes, Illinois to the late Edward and Billie Jo (Williams) Stricker. He was a graduate of William Mitchell High School and attended UNC for several years.
Dave spent most of his life in the building industry. He worked for a cedar lumber company in Denver before moving to Colorado Springs where he continued his love of construction. He built homes in Colorado Springs with several different home builders before moving to general contracting, finishing his building career as a Building Superintendent and Safety Manager.
Strick loved the outdoors and more often than not could be found standing on a fishing bank in the Colorado Rockies. He was an amazing fly fisherman and loved sharing this passion with his treasured friends and family. Dave loved his family more than anything and enjoyed every opportunity to be with them. He loved his friends, and his friends loved his smile and abiding positive caring spirit.
Dave is survived by his daughter Sarah Jo Larsen (husband Bo), and Step-son Brandon (wife Lindley) of Denver: his twin sister Debbie (husband Randy) of Colorado Springs, and his brother Mark (wife Dawn) of Tucson, Arizona. He has four grandchildren in the Denver area.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at First Friends Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado. A reception will follow the service at the Church. Memorials in David's memory can be made to the Pikes Peak Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Dave will be greatly missed. He was always such a kind and caring person, never had a bad thing to say about anyone. My heart and prayers go out to his family for the loss of such a wonderful son, brother, friend. You will be missed Dave.
