Debbie was one of the kindest persons I ever had the privilege to know. While working for WWNC Radio, I got to know Debbie when she asked me and others at the station to participate in the Muscular Dystrophy Telethon. We became good friends and shared many good times together before my husband Jim and I moved away in 1997.
Life presented a lot of struggles for Debbie, but she always thought of others and was always doing what she could to help them. She was smart, creative and a talented writer; but most of all, she had a very big heart and soul. I am just finding out about her passing, but I wanted to pay my respects and send my thoughts and prayers to Larry, Denise and the rest of her loving family. I know she is missed so much. But I also know that she is no longer in pain and that is a comfort. Thank you Debbie, for your love and friendship. I will never forget you and will always honor your memory.

Love,

Peggy & Jim Fry
