ln loving memory of Donald Lee Watts Donald Watts passed away peacefully on September the 24th,2023 in his home located Peyton, CO. Born to Elgie & Leona Watts on 11/12/1933 in Peoria, lL. Don was raised by his biological father Elgie Watts and Charlotte Allen Watts. Don is survived by his wife Theresa Watts, sister Patt Sutor of Galesburg, lL, his son Terry Watts that he had with his second wife Winona Watts and his 4 grandchildren. After graduating from Knoxville High School in 1951 Don joined the US Army. Don was stationed at Fort Biley before being deployed to Korea and Vietnam. When he returned stateside, he was stationed at Fort Carson, Co where he met his first wife. They had four children. He settled in Colorado where he volunteered for the following organizations as, a Director of Little Britches Rodeo, EMI, Board Member for El Paso County Fair, and the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 26. Don also dedicated himself to the community by becoming a Flight for Life Paramedic, a Colorado Springs Police Officer, a Fire Fighter at Falcon Fire Dept, and he also passed on his medical knowledge teaching CPR classes at Pikes Peak Community College. Don enjoyed many hobbies and posessed many talents. One of those talents included controlling a vehicle at 10O+ MPH. Don had a need for speed and had a passion for stock car racing. Don owned and operated his own stock car for many years. He had so many stories from the vast careers he held. Another talent Don possessed was to tell his life experiences in vivid detail and captivating the undivided attention of his listeners. Don touched and made long-lasting impressions on so many individuals through out his life in and outside of family and friends. He will be truly missed by many people. His funeral will be held at the Pikes Peak National Cemetery 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80925 on November 13th, 2023 at 9:45am. Don's celebration of life will be held at the DAV Chapter 26 on November 12,2O23 at 10am. ln lieu of flowers please donate to the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 26 which is located at 6880 Palmer Park Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80915 which is the same location as the celebration of life
