Duane Karl Greenwood
March 13, 1960 - May 12, 2018
Duane Karl Greenwood, 58, passed away at home in Widefield, Colorado on Saturday, May 12, 2018 following a courageous battle with cancer. He graduated in 1978 from Centennial High School in Pueblo, Colorado. He most recently served 9.75 years as Public Works Director/City Engineer for Fountain, Colorado.
Duane elected to be directly cremated by The Springs Funeral Services.
Memorial Service, 10:00AM, Friday, May 18, 2018, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 325 Putnam Drive, Security, Colorado.

I always enjoyed seeing Duane with his smile and compassion for everyone around him. I have fond memories working with him over the past ten years. He would always make a point to come say hello and tell me how things were going. I will miss his laughter. He was a man of integrity and his faith showed in all his deeds. I know he is with our Lord...I will miss you...may you rest in peace my friend!

Duane is my younger brother and i want everyone how much he has ment to me and how we talked several times in the past two years about his being ready to transition to the higher realms. Cynde and Family, Duane was my work dad. We worked together close to 10 years. When my husband was deployed he made sure my tires, windshield wipers, and headlights were always working. He would brush the snow off my windshield on snowy days. I won't ever forget what a kind man he was. There are many in the community who will mourn deeply his passing as his was a life of service, love, compassion and excellence. May he rest in peace. Remembering you and your loved ones today and always.
