Edward D. Meyer, age 72, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.
Ed was born on May 12, 1950 in Sioux Falls, SD to Leo and Katherine Meyer. He was the second of six children. Ed grew up in Brandon, SD where he met his wife Peggy and they were married on March 21, 1970.
Together, Ed and Peggy, moved to Colorado and had three children-Jamie, Jeremy and Jason. Ed loved hunting, boating, camping and anything outdoors. In 1978 Ed helped start GMS Consulting Engineers and retired after 40 years of serving Colorado communities.
Ed leaves behind his devoted wife of 52 years Peggy Meyer; loving children Jamie (Ron) Purewal, Jeremy (Julie) Meyer, Jason (Amy) Meyer; and seven precious grandchildren Nathan, Noah, Jaden, Madison, Ethan, Anna and Christian.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Charis Christian Center, 10285 Federal Dr. Colorado Springs, CO 80908 on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 10:30 a.m.
