Sorry to read of Eddie´s passing. I´ve known him since he started working at IKO with George Beals. They came to my store in Taos, NM for waaay beyond 50 years ago. Federated Store bought merchandise from George before I was born. Good company, good salesman who mentored Eddie. We knew Eddie when he and his family lived in Albuquerque´s west side. He was truly unique.

Sorry to hear about Ed's passing. My wife, Barb, and I just bought a summer residence in Durango having been married there 47 years ago. Ed and Janie were good friends back then.

Living back in Durango now, we are often reminded of many memories of 50 years ago!
Ed was a huge part of those memories, the lake, skiing, parties at your home. One memory in particular was working the night Ed was celebrating his 40th birthday at the Solid Muldoon. Ed certainly had a gift for making everyone feel welcomed.
Janie, know we are thinking of you during this time of loss. We hope your fun memories soften the sadness.

Janie, I am so sorry to learn of Ed's passing. Truly a one of a kind man. Sweet, charming, funny and just wonderful. Seeing him hosting at the Follies was always a treat and anytime I was lucky enough to see you both I felt happiness just being around you, He loved you so much. Hope some time will bring you peace.

Janie and family, I am so disheartened to hear of Ed´s passing! He was such an amazing character, friend and great cook! I ranted about his delicious relish and the next time I saw him he had a jar for me. I still have it because it´s was too good to just open without a special occasion. Well, Ed, I guess it´s time to get it out and savor the memories of you and to celebrate your next journey. You will be so missed, Ed!

Dear Eddie, what fond memories I will always have of you! You have always greeted me with that adorable "Eddie grin" and then a nudge under my chin to make me look down so we could laugh together as it always made me look down. Then there were the unforgetable days at Lake Navajo where you patiently taught me to water ski behind your boat. On land we would snow ski, tell jokes and add our creative touches to the beginning of Snowdown. What an amazing guy you were and will always be in my memories. Npw ditto all of this, minus maybe snow skiing, and add the name Janie. You are a true treasure and complimented Eddie so well. I love you both dearly and pray that you receive comfort and pleasure knowing a lifetime of laughs and adventures with Eddie. I am glad you have a wonderful daughter and so many sisters to be by your side. Count me in on one who cares deeply for you.

Dearest Janie: I´ll never forget the "baptism" of visiting Lake Powell for the first time with you, Eddie, Fiedler and Charlie. Swimming nekkid, fishing, laughing, and bonding to become lifelong friends. I hope the love of family and friends will wrap around you to soothe your broken heart. Eddie´s contributions to Durango will forever be embedded in its future. Would that we all be as good a friend as Eddie has been to all that had the pleasure of knowing him.

Whenever our paths crossed over the last 20 years, 'Fast Eddie' always expressed his friendship with an enthusiastic smile. We enjoyed his company with good memories and his zest for enjoying life. RIP

A true Durango icon! Fast Eddie would give you the shirt off his back. No one was a stranger to Eddie; only friends he hadn´t met just yet. The good man loved life, he loved Janie and his family forever, he loved his seemingly unlimited group of friends, and he loved light and laughter. Eddie was a true gift to all he encountered, and his inner strength always endured. What a man! Janie, sending you condolences and hugs; sharing in my heart with you absolutely precious memories.
With love,
Dav

One of the kindest gentlemen I have known!-His quest for life showed in his ever present desire to make everyone smile, laugh, and feel welcome. One of my MANY memories of Eddie was his passionate support of Durangos winter carnival called Snowdown. He and good friend Terry Fiedler(RIP) were always the welcoming front door crew to the Follies Gala, dressed in his special coat exhibiting every Snowdown button.
My Sympathies to Jane and family-RIP "fast Eddie"

What a great guy! I've known Ed for 50 years, and he has been a piece of Durango's Heart. He contributed some great histories for the Purgatory Ski 50th Anniversary book. One of the kindest men in town.
