Ernest Ohle Obituary

Ernest Linwood Ohle died April 27, 2009 in Colorado Springs. He was born December 17, 1917 in St. Louis, Missouri. Ernie received degrees in geology from Washington University and Harvard University. Ernie is survived by his partner of six years, Ann James; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Allan Green of Cambridge, MA; son and daughter-in law, Ernest L. Ohle III and Carol of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter and son-in-law Carolyn Ohle and Todd Cooper of Charlottesville, VA; and daughter, Elizabeth Ohle of St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada; grandchildren, Shanna Sipple Kukla and her husband David; Sarah, Lucy, Ernest Linwood IV, and Molly Ohle; and Leonorah Mutseyekwa; great grandchildren, James Kukla and Takunda Mutseyekwa. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Martha Lee Pearman Ohle; his brother, William; his sister, Margaret Rogers; and his great grandson, Joel Michael Kukla. A service remembering will be held at First Congregational United Church of Christ at 11:30 on Thursday, April 30, 2009. A memorial service will be held in the summer at Camp Miniwanca in Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made in Ernie's memory to the American Youth Foundation, Camp Miniwanca, 8845 W. Garfield Road, Shelby, MI, 49455
