Evelyn L. Allen
3-9-1928 - 1-24-2018
Evelyn died peacefully with her family at her side on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, after a long battle with Congestive Heart Failure. She was 89 years old. Born March 9, 1928 to Roy and Mary (Sakala) McFarlin in Fondis, CO. Evelyn attended a one room school until 8th grade and then Peyton High School. She went on to work at Emerson Electric and then Ampex retiring from there in 1988.
Married to Albert L Allen they loved traveling in their motorhome and square dancing. Evelyn attended Al-Anon for many years and loved gardening and socializing with friends.
Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Sharon Bieszk of Colorado Springs, step daughters: Brenda DiStasi of Destin, FL, Glenda White of Redding, CA; sisters: Betty Tullis of Colorado Springs, Ethel White of Wright, AR and sister-in-law Dottie McFarlin of Colorado Springs as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Viewing at Evergreen Funeral Home from 2 - 4 pm, Sunday, January 28, 2018.
Funeral services will be at First Presbyterian Church, 219 E. Bijou, Colorado Springs, CO, Monday, January 29th at 11 am with lunch to follow.
Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery following lunch.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death.
