Irene, Ray, Gary, & Rick,
May your memories be of comfort to you. There are many memories of your mother that bring smiles to our faces. She definitely was welcoming. The minute she saw someone pull up she began to cook. One would never leave her house hungry. She also loved to laugh and make others laugh. May you find strength in your faith and God Bless You.

I will probably always remember Flora for her kindness and being such a special friend to me way back when we were both at Ivywild Schoolin the mid 70's. We would first chuckle when I came to Ivywild. You see, inquisitve little kids who noticed we shared the same last name asked her if she was my wife but I told them she was my mom. She told me about Wagon Mound as we would share coffe during my break in her kitchen. Especially on Monday mornings, she would share jokes she heard from Nash or some relative they had visited with. She would talk about attending a dance or something and we would laugh and talk about comparing the NM people and NM music to the same in CO. She always had a gleam in her eye and a smile as she talked about how she so loved her husband and her beautiful kids. Earlier before coming to Ivywild, I had temporarily been Ricky's teacher (Big Rick, now) but then got transfered to Ivywild. I remember how she would pile my tray with food at lunch and give me a smile and a wink of her eye while explaining that after all "I was her son." She was a fine lady that I will remember in my prayers. I thank God that I shared a brief time with her as a teacher, back then. She truly is in heaven cooking up a storm and telling jokes to the residents up there. To her children: be glad for the legacy of sincere kindness, helpfullness, and humility she left you because there was not a conceited or arrogant bone in her body. Your mother was truly unique and special.

To Irene, Ray, Gary, Rick & your families. I don't have to tell you your mother Flora was a very special person. She was an angel here on earth. I have nothing but fond memories of my aunt. I loved her like a mother, I will miss her dearly.
With love & sympathy,
Carol

Our thoughts and our love are with all of you, the pain is gone and now she is with her family in paridise. Our prayers are with you now in your time of need. She is with Nash walking side by side telling jokes and laughing with Della, happily at home. Her love and laughter will live forever in our hearts.
