Frances Jackson Obituary

Frances L. Jackson, 95, passed away on May 2. Born on December 6, 1921, in Kansas City, Missouri, she was a resident of Colorado Springs since 1952.

Frances loved family life, cooking, gardening, and was frequently heard humming a tune. She enjoyed fishing, especially at Eleven Mile Reservoir where her family had a cabin, and taking road trips. A favorite destination was South Padre Island.

Fiercely independent, she lived in her home until the age of 94 and only recently moved to Brookdale Vista Grande Assisted Living where she received compassionate care in her final months.

Frances is survived by son Ken, daughter-in-law Susan (Boulder), daughter Judi Robertson and son-in-law Darrell (Temecula, California), and daughter-in-law Nancy Jackson (Taos, New Mexico). She is also survived by four grandsons, Brian and Collin Jackson, and Scott and Jeff Robertson, as well as a great granddaughter, Hazel Jackson.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband Wayne and son Ron. Frances was placed beside Wayne at Evergreen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Brookdale Hospice for their exceptional service. The family will have a private remembrance.
