I ran cross country with Fred at Mitchel High School in the Fall of 1974. I was never that good, but Fred was always an encouraging presence, providing me with tips and making the experience very enjoyable. I never got much better but I always appreciated how welcoming Fred, as one of the leaders on the team, was toward me as a newbie. Very sad to learn that he left us so early, but just from reading what others have written about him it is clear that he he made his mark and touched so many people in a positive way. Rest in peace, brother.

Angie,

My Dear Friend Angie!!!I am so sorry to hear about Fred. I guess the last time we talked, he had just been diagnosed and was apparently fighting a battle for a few years. My love goes out to you and the kids and of course I will be praying fervently for peace and rest for you all. Whenever you are able I would love to hear from you.

God bless and keep you,

Lori(Anderson)Harris and Family
