Fred was born on August 28, 1984, in Colorado Springs and passed away unexpectedly on January 3, 2023, in Garfield Colorado.
Fred grew up in Colorado Springs attending Taylor elementary, North middle and St. Mary's High School, graduating with the class of 2003. He then attended and graduated from the University of Arizona in Tucson where he met the love of his life and future bride Lauren. Fred and Lauren settled in the Seal Beach area of California in order to be near family and to begin one of their own.
Fred is survived by his loving wife Lauren and his cherished and adoring sons Brantley, Harrison and Duncan.
He is also survived by his mother and father, Jana and Stephen Bohnen, his twin brother John (Liz), brothers Patrick ( Kaitlyn) and Matthew and nieces Athena and Artemis Bohnen, all of Colorado Springs.
In addition, Fred is survived by many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and their families as well as his Extended family in California.
Fred was a very kind and caring individual as well as a devoted and committed husband and father. He will be greatly missed, but always loved and will remain with us forever in our hearts.
A Memorial service will be held for Fred at a later date. Please visit legacy.com to leave a condolence.

Last time we chatted was in 2017 and it was nice to catch up talking about growing up and being parents. My heart and prayers go out to Lauren, Brantley, Harrison and Duncan to navigate this next chapter. Sending love to John as losing a twin is like losing a piece of yourself. May God guide all of your Family and Friends who will miss you Fred.
