Georgette Reldy
1922 - 2018
On Wednesday January 17, 2018 in Scottsdale, AZ Georgette Reldy passed from natural causes at 95 years old.
Born in 1922 in Constantine, Algeria, Georgette was the second oldest daughter of Chloumou and Semah Guedj. She grew up in a family of four girls and one boy of French descent. During World War II she immigrated to the United States where she became a naturalized citizen.
After settling in Houston, TX, Georgette met the love of her life Jean Reldy whom she married in 1959. Their only child Sandra was born in 1960. They spent much of their early life together in Houston, where Georgette worked for Air France, and the family enjoyed traveling together around the globe.
In 1978 Jean, Georgette and Sandra moved to Colorado Springs, CO. It would be there, that Jean and Georgette would live together until Jean's passing in December of 2015. Georgette then moved to Scottsdale, AZ, where she remained in the care of her granddaughter until her passing.
Georgette was a unique spirit, who lived a full life and touched all of those she met. A very forward woman, she was always surrounded by friends and family and had many people all over the world with whom she was able to maintain relationships with for over 60 years. Her best qualities were her amazing love for those around her and her willingness to always help those she knew.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Sean Steuwer; her grandchildren, Ryan Barbera, his wife Tania, Rachel Bair, her husband Garth, and Nicole Reldy.
