Glenn was born on "the Wolf place" near Braman, Okla. to Cora (Wilkerson) Swan and Emmitt Swan. Glenn lived near Braman, graduating from Braman High School in 1940.
Glenn served in the US Navy during World War II as a Hospital Corpsman. He met a beautiful Navy Nurse, Evelyn F. Trainor, and they were married in San Francisco on March 2, 1946. They had four children, Mark, Glenn W,
Patrick and Judy.
After their Navy service,
Glenn & Evelyn moved to Okla. Glenn worked at CONOCO Oil Company in Ponca City until he was badly burned in a work accident. After he recovered they moved to a farm west of Braman. He continued to farm until he moved his family to Colorado Springs in 1956.
Glenn worked at John Croff's Paint Store, retiring as the floor covering manager.
Glenn was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn, his parents, brothers Herman and Duane, his sisters Thelma and Dorothy.
He is survived by his children Mark & Lynn, Glenn & Mary, Patrick & Tomey Jean, and Judy & Dan Cox.
Glenn enjoyed spending time with his seven grand children, nine great grand children and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Glenn was long time active member of Sacred Heart Church, serving in various capacities.
He will always be remembered for his dedication to his family and friends and his faithfulness to his country, God and Church.
A Celebration of Life is
scheduled for Monday January 7, 2019 at 2 pm
at St. Mary's Cathedral, 22 W. Kiowa.
