Gregory Patrick Gartin, 57, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2023.
Greg was born on January 28, 1966 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He attended Audubon Elementary, East Junior, and was a 1984 graduate of Wasson High School. He took classes in Automotive and Welding at Pikes Peak State College. He enjoyed vintage vehicles, racing, woodworking, diving, skiing, and soccer. Greg will be remembered by his witty humor, and ability to connect with anyone he met.
Greg is survived by his parents, John and Clarene Gartin; his sisters, Anne Gartin and Susan Heidelberg; brother in-law, James Heidelberg; nephew, Ryan Heidelberg; and niece, Kori Heidelberg.
Memorial Mass, 10:00AM, Friday, May 12, 2023, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2030 West Colorado Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904.

I am very sorry for your lose. Greg was one of the most cheerful people I had the good fortune to know at East and Wasson. We ran into each other once in 1987 at Union Station and were able to spend an hour reminiscing. I am so grateful to have known him.

Sometime between 1988 and 1993, we hung out. We often talked about music or cars. He also was a great listener as I dealt with the issues a young man faced. His family was patient with him and his disabilities. Huge testament to their love for him!
Somehow we loss touch over the years. I recently thought about looking him up. Now I wish I did!

I sure miss Greg. He was always so kind to me. He built me bird houses that I still use for decoration. He was a big help to our alumni Association. He was always willing to help.
I send deepest sympathy to his family in this great loss of a son, a brother and an uncle.
