Harold Shippy Obituary

January 29, 1922 - April 6, 2008. Harold Emerson "Jack" Shippy, 86, a resident of the Colorado Springs area since 1937, passed away on April 6, 2008. Harold was born on January 29, 1922 at Fairfax, Oklahoma, a son of the late, Francis and Nellie Ward Shippy. Harold was a retired Chief Aviator Machinist from the U.S. Navy and was stationed at Pearl Harbor during the attack. He had worked for KRDO as an Account Executive and at Riverside Tractor Parts. He was a member of the Florissant Fossil Bed Board. He was a member of Elks Lodge #309 and a member of Lion's Club. Harold is survived by his loving wife, Lavina Shippy, children Patricia Cisar, Teresa Harmon, Jacqueline Fields and Michael Shippy, a sister, Hattie Helen and brother Herb, 7 grandchildren, Piper, Natalie, Julie, Ashley, Andrew, Debra and Michael and 12 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at The Church in the Wildwood, 10585 Ute Pass Avenue, Green Mountain Falls, Colorado.
