Tom was a kind, honorable, well-educated and well-informed man who put family before all else. He lived his life caring for others starting at the age of 10 when he started a paper route to help with his own expenses as well as those of his family.
He loved being productive and always found a project to work on, hiking, reading, music, hallmark movies and westerns, and art.
Tom was a true Coloradan working several jobs while growing up to include a ranch in Westcliff, a mine in Climax, CO and driving buses up Pikes Peak. After putting himself through college he received a bachelor's degree in economics and had a long career in civil service with the federal government and ultimately was in charge of all contracting for a large army base in Alaska
He had 2 children who he absolutely adored, was very proud of and would have done anything for. He was the oldest of 9 children and took that job seriously always trying to help those who followed behind him.
Services will be held on Friday May 26, 2023 at 11:30 AM St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 7400 Tudor Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80919
