ALAN C. PHILLIPS
November 28, 1952 December 11, 2025
Alan C. Phillips, age 73, born November 28, 1952, passed away suddenly on December 11, 2025.
Beloved husband of Diane M. Phillips (Nee Strasser), loving brother to Lois (John) Wagner, Gail (James) Babusiak, Dorothy (Michael) Duffy, the late Donald (Elaine) Phillips, the late Glen (Sharon) Phillips, the late Joan (John) O'Sullivan. Loving brother in law to David and Christine Strasser. Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and LaVerne Phillips. Alan leaves behind many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews where he was fondly referred to as "Uncle Al the Kiddies Pal".
Alan was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He went to St. Margaret of Scotland grammar school and Marist High School. He was honorably discharged from the Illinois Army National Guard after serving five and a half years. Alan attended Northeastern Illinois University and graduated with degrees in Computer/Information Science and Business Management. He then pursued a long career in Business Development in the Technology Field.
Alan and his wife, Diane, lived in Chicago, IL, San Jose, CA, Lake Barrington, IL and finally moved to the high mountain country of Teller County, Cripple Creek, CO. There they embraced the outdoors, wilderness, and adventure, spending many happy hours camping and traveling in their motorhome.
Al was kind, intelligent, loved to laugh, listen to music, take photographs, play games (I don't make the rules, I only play by them) and lived life to the fullest. His presence will never be forgotten.
Funeral arrangements will be private.
Donations can be made in Alan's honor to Teller County Regional Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 904, Divide, CO 80814, tcrascolorado.org.
