Hector De La Cruz Obituary

I don’t know who will be reading this but today’s date October 30,2020 and I have been viewing De La Cruz videos on YouTube and I am here to say all the glory to God because his teachings continue to spark FIRE, GLORY TO GOD! I am over joyed to hear that this man has passed on to enjoy his eternity with out Lord and Savior Jesus Christ ♥ AMEN!!!

Deb and Josh - We were so sorry to hear of your loss. We enjoyed and appreciated working with Hector over the past few years. The thoughts of many here in Lakewood are with you at this time.

It is hard to express in words the sense of loss of such a good friend and co worker. Hector was a joy to be around. We'll miss him.

As you all know Hector was a wonderful person, and a individual I had the privilege to get to know.
I owe many thanks to Hector for all our numerous discussions, his guidance, knowledge, laughs, good times, and yes, the practical jokes.
I truely will miss Hector, as he right up there as one of my all time favorite individuals I have ever met, and we are fortunate to be able to recall all the good memories Hector provided.

Although we never were able to work directly on projects, Hector was a mentor and very helpful to many of us at AMEC. He will be missed by all of us.

Please know that you are in our prayers and thoughts. Hector was a great person to know and he was always looking to get a good laugh out of somebody. He was definitely a fun person to be around. He will truly be missed by all that knew him. Little Ricky my friend, may you rest in peace.

What can I say? You are the best Brother a sister could have! I rejoice in your entrance to the Streets of Gold and at the same time I will greatly miss you! I've never met a person as valiant and as humble as you... thank you for being YOU and gifting our family with your life!!

Dearest Hector, When I first met "Jerry's twin" I knew our families would have a special bond. We are blessed to have had you in our lives and we will continue to have Debra & Josh in our family. You along with your "band of brothers...& sisters from the 302nd have always had a special place in my heart. Thank you for all the memories. I will miss you dearly. Rest in peace dear friend.

Hector and I met through AMEC. First working at the AFA, then helping me out at Vandenberg. We had great laughs, good meals, and shared stories of our careers.

I was very fortunate to know Hector the short time I had. He was such a pleasure to work with over the past year. Hector truly was a “Giant of a Man” in his own way and I will always remember him and the first day we met. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

As a co-worker I found Hector to be a fun loving guy and we joked to each other a great deal. He always gave me those mean little eyes when I told people Deb was his daughter. Enjoy your new home and we will joke some more when I get there.

I met Hector for the first time two years ago. The man I met and came to know was a loving husband and father. A man who inspired faith and determination. He was an inspiration to all of us who knew him.

Joshua & Debrah please accept my deepest sympathies.

Today I pause to reflect upon
how much you've shaped my character, touched our hearts, and taught us true kindness and optimism. The stories and laughter about the similiarities of our family priorities (Deb and I wearing black all year round, salads, our sons, etc) are all treasured memories and were shared with Deb now. Hector, you have made an everlasting impact on so many of us. You will always be remembered and truly missed.

Deb and Josh, may you find comfort as you share your stories and memories of how he lived his life and how very much he meant.

Hector,
I can't believe you're gone. When I went to visit Debbie, there was a part of me that was hoping you'd return back from a weekend at the Reserves. I remember meeting you for the first time in the garage of my parent's home. I knew then that you'd be the one. You were uncharacteristically shy, you sly dog. Thank you for your irrevocable love to my sister and nephew. You'll be happy to know that she still slaughters me every time we play Skip-Bo. She was trained by the best, after all. Thank you for all of your wise advice, generosity, and laughter. Until we meet again, I love you. You'll be missed, brother.

It was with great sadness to hear of Hector's passing. Hector and Deb are very special people to us and we will miss him so very much. It was truly an honor to be a part of his care. I especially enjoyed making him laugh and sharing stories with he and Deb. God Bless you through your time of sorrow. I miss you Hector.
