Helen Estes Obituary

Helen Estes, age 67, died on June 13, 2016 at the Aspen Living Center in Colorado Springs after a long illness.  She was a retired beautician, cashier and wonderful mother, grandmother and friend.

 

Helen Jean Gardner was born on July 30, 1948 in McGehee, Arkansas, to the late L.C. and Pearl (Gardner) Robinson. She married Johnny Wells Jr. and later, Walter Estes.

 

Helen was a beautician in the Quad Cities, for over twenty years . She was a very social woman and loved being around people. She was generous and her family was her life.  

 

Helen lost her mother, sister and husband. She then moved to Georgia with her son, then back to Illinois, and finally to Colorado Springs.

 

She is survived by her sons; Mark (Teri) Wells of Georgia, Johnny (Pamela) Wells, III Colorado Springs and Steven (Cherise) Wells of Colorado Springs. She also has three grandsons; Kevin, J.D. and Christopher and a two granddaughters; Jasmine and Janae.
