HELEN A. (LOCKWOOD) NELSON
August 13, 1922 March 4, 2021
Helen A. Lockwood Nelson, was born in Colorado Springs on 8/13/1932 daughter of Herbert C. Lockwood II and Marie Pearl Eggenberger Lockwood. She left this earthly life on 3/4/2021 at age 88. She contracted Covid while in rehab from a fall. She was married to W. Keith Nelson for 71 years 5 months. Helen was a Navy wife for over 20 years and lived in Virginia, Florida, Guantanamo Bay Cuba, San Diego, & Concord in CA & Yokohama Japan. In San Diego, she worked as Church Secretary, several County positions & in Colorado Springs, many volunteer jobs for Trinity UMC. She was predeceased by her baby sister, father, mother, step-father, daughter-in-law, brother & sister-in-law. She is survived by her 91 year old husband, three sons, Warren K. Nelson Jr. Born in Colorado Springs, Herbert N. Nelson born in Guantanamo Cuba and Justin A. Nelson born in San Diego CA, 2 daughter-in-laws, 7 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
Services will on Tuesday 3/16/21 at Trinity UMC 701 N 20th St. 80904. Viewing & Reception at 10 AM, Service at 11 AM and burial at 1 PM at Spring Valley Cemetery on 13994 S Spring Valley Road, Larkspur CO 80118.
Contributions may be made in her name to Trinity UMC, 701 N 20th St. Colorado Springs CO 80904.
