Henry Walter Obituary
Hank was born to John and Willa Walter, in Edmond OK; at the age of 5, moved to Loveland, CO. He graduated from Loveland High School in 1955.
Hank founded the Cheyenne Edition in 1981 and the Woodmen Edition in 1991 and wrote the book, Heaven's Better in 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his daughter, Robin Veldboom (Terry); sons, Andy, Peter (Sarah) and Nathan (Kelly); 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Sisters, Bet Richers and Patt Deines; and brothers Bob and Dick.
Services will be Wednesday, March 23, at Faith Lutheran Church, 315 Security Blvd. at 1pm. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Faith Lutheran Church.

I was so sorry to learn of Hank's passing yesterday. He and I met through the newspaper. I had read one of his columns and sent him an email expressing my appreciation. We began to compare notes on our love for writing and decided to meet for lunch. That began a several year friendship where we would meet for lunch 3 or 4 times a year at the Doubletree Hotel. I owe him a million thanks for carrying my column in both newspapers. We have lost a good man and fellow writer. My condolences to all of his family. I wish I had known and could have been at the funeral.
