I was an Army PA student in 1982 at the old Ft Carson, CO, learning the art of the slit lamp under Dr. Gardner´s calm tutelage.
I can´t begin to understand why he would appear, prominently, in my dream last night. I kept repeating his name so as to recall it this morning. First time in 40 years. I have heard said that as long as someone remembers you, you are not fully departed. I, and my colleagues and patients in the Army Medicine realm, truly appreciated him.
