Jack E. Wilson, age 93, of Colorado Springs, formerly of Denver, died after a short illness on December 1, 2023.
Jack was born in Denver on March 29, 1930, the only son of Gracelynn and Jack A. Wilson.
He graduated from Denver's North High School and Colorado A&M (now CSU). Upon graduation from college, he served in the US Air Force, returning to Denver where he pursued graduate studies at the University of Colorado. Jack became Personnel Director and Bank Officer for Denver US National Bank, and later served as Assistant VP and HR Director with Kaman Sciences Corp. in Colorado Springs, retiring in 1993.
Jack was an expert skier and loved skiing in winter and climbing many of the Colorado Fourteener's in summer. He volunteered with the National Ski Patrol in Alaska and Colorado, was a long time member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and was a "Grand-Friend" volunteer at Grant Elementary School in Colorado Springs.
Jack was predeceased in 2006 by his wife, the love of his life, Carol M. (Lehrer) Wilson. Jack and Carol celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2003.
Jack is survived by his second wife Beverly, his son Gregory and his partner Rick Sawin of Boston MA, his daughter, Susan Udevitz and her husband Mark of Eagle River AK, his granddaughter Molissa Udevitz of Anchorage AK, and his nieces Monica (Lehrer) Gould of Loveland, and Julie (Lehrer) Forbes of Denver. Jack was also predeceased by his nephew, Scott Lehrer.
