Jason Patterson Obituary

Jason was born on July 19, 1971 in Colorado Springs, CO to Mark and Linda Patterson. He graduated from Wasson High School in 1989. He met his wife Wendy at Adam State College and they were married on August 15, 1992 at the Briarhurst Manor in Manitou Springs. He co-owned and operated Springs Carpet and Tile Care, Inc. Jason was an avid sports fan, with a true love for basketball, which he coached for twenty years. He also enjoyed playing golf. But his greatest joy was in watching his three children playing sports. Jason is survived by his wife Wendy, three children Tyler James, Tarah Lynn and Jenna Eleis, parents Mark and Linda Patterson, brother Bryant Patterson all of Colorado Spring and a sister Misty Frefoso of California. He is also survived by his father-in-law Frank Cox of Brush, CO, mother-in-law Donna Myers of Greenwood Village, CO, brother and sister-in-law Scott and Dale Cox of Aurora, CO and many relatives and friends. A Memorial Service is planned for Wednesday, June 9, 2010, 12:00 p.m. at Austin Bluffs Community Church, 5090 Austin Bluffs Parkway.

I remember at Jasons funeral that took place this afternoon the pastor said Jason loved to take athletes in who wern't so good, and poor his heart and soul into coaching them. I cant help but to think that day I got cut off the middle school team and you guaranteed me a spot on your team, and look where I am today. I have improved so much over the years, and if it was for you to raise my confidence I wouldn't be playing a single sport. When we win this state championchip ring at wasson im going to dedicate it to you, because im going to do you proud and win something for your old highschool.

FEATHERS IN THE SKY
The wind blowing left and right
Picking dry leaves
Starring at the beauty of the mountains
I see feathers in the sky.
Soft gentle smell of sweet jasmine
Another angel has being called
Another angel has earned his wings, its all glory.
But the pain and agony
It’s left for those love ones left behind
Starring deep without an answer
All tears in the world
Won’t feel the void, won’t feel the hole.
Hugs and tears are shared
And sorrow surrounds all of us
But then again we see feathers in the sky
It’s Jason with love flapping his wings from above
We all starred at the feathers
A smile shows in our hearts
We all see feathers in the sky
Leaving behind the sweet smell of jasmine
That filled the room with love and memories
With the message that him as well
Will miss you and the kids
We all see the feathers in the sky
Just landing, in Wendy’s heart!

Wendy I am praying for you and just know that my hugs are waiting for you, you are my buddy and im here for you,I made the poem thinking of you, your little friend.

I do not know you or your family, but because I do know the Hodges, she has passed this news on to me. I am so sorry! This is a very difficult time.
