John, you were a treasure to all that knew you. You were one of my supervisors at The USAF Academy. I still remember your voice ordering "Sweepers, sweepers, man your brooms! ".. I relished your recollections of your time in Viet Nam as a Brown water sailor. Thank you for your service. I also speak for my family, Danielle Horner, and her husband Timothy Madigar. Fair winds my dear friend, May God hold you in His arms. Darline Horner

John was indeed the most upbeat, positive person I have ever known. He would call, out of the blue, to ask how my life was going. He was a kind man with a gentle spirit.
