John Walter Aden Obituary

John Walter Aden, missing from 2012, returned to his family in late February 2016. John was born in Moline, Illinois, on January 7, 1969, to Jim and Deirdre Aden (Hudson) who both preceded him in death.

John graduated from Doherty High School in 1989 and then worked for his Dad's custom home building company in Vail before starting his own business, JW Trucking, hauling oversized concrete materials to numerous cities in Colorado.

John was a private, solitary man who loved his Vizsla dog Sydney as man's best friend and they daily shared long walks outside and spent weekends four-wheeling in one of John's vintage vehicles.

An avid reader since youth, John could passionately discuss politics, travel and life over a glass of good wine. John had traveled to Australia and the South Pacific and he often spoke of returning to Cook Islands. Throughout his life, John collected books, wines and guns.

John's remains were found in Park County, Colorado, and his death remains unsolved.

John is survived by his siblings, Jim Aden, Deirdre Aden-Smith (husband Scott and son Finn), Sean Aden and Heather Aden along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and their families in the United States and overseas.

A private family ceremony will be held to lay John's ashes in hopes that he will have a peaceful resting place sharing long walks again with his Sydney.
