Kevin Arthur Kretzmar was born in Colorado Springs, CO on November 11th, 1963 to Connie and Wade Kretzschmar. He graduated from Doherty High School in 1981 and went on to get a degree in finance and spent most of his life working as a financial advisor. He was always known for his kind heart and peaceful spirit along with his passion for finding adventure, often on his motorcycle. He was devoted to helping others, and was a loving and helpful father, son, husband, brother, and friend. He had his only child, Blake Kretzmar in 2000, and raised her as a dedicated single dad. Kevin and Patricia Kretzmar were married on June 26th, 2021 and built a life together in their hometown of Colorado Springs.

Kevin and Patty went on a cruise over Thanksgiving. They had a beautiful trip and were ready to plan their next, when on their last day they were swimming in Cozumel and were caught in a powerful riptide. The lifeguards were able to get them out of the water, but Kevin couldn't be resuscitated. He passed away in Cozumel, Mexico on Thankgiving Day.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Patricia Kretzmar, his beloved daughter Blake Kretzmar, his mother Connie Goodheart and sisters Penny Smoot and Christine Bickel.
His memorial will be at 1:30 on Sunday, December 14th, 2025 at Pikes Peak Bikers Church at 1505 East Monument Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80909. Reception following.
