Joni Bush was born in New York City. She met her husband in Boulder. They raised four children: Tai, Michael, Tara, and Avi. After living in California, and Washington, they settled down in Colorado Springs. After 49 years of marriage, Charles passed away on their anniversary. Joni threw herself into volunteering and service. For years, Joni converted school tests into braille, volunteered at the Colorado Springs Police Academy organizing files, volunteered at Compassion International, and volunteered for her church, Ridgeview Baptist Church. Joni is survived by her children, and many lovely friends and neighbors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Compassion International.
