Joseph Edward Ramsey, was born with a shock of red hair that gave away his Scottish heritage and impending stubbornness, on April 21, 1973 in Los Angeles, CA to William Thomas Ramsey Jr. and Bernice Richards Ramsey. He died unexpectedly, with just a bit of gray in his red beard, on June 14, 2020, at the age of 47, in Oceanside, CA. Raised in Colorado Springs, he was proud to be an Eagle Scout and graduated from Rampart High School, Georgia Tech, and Cal State - East Bay, with a Masters in Taxation. He was a whiz at numbers, loved his dogs, red cars, listening to hard-rock music with his father, eating his mother's enchiladas on Christmas Eve, collecting coins and strategic gaming. Meeting up with friends for long hikes (or hiking alone), traveling the world and enjoying fine food and wine with family and friends were also his favorite pastimes. His was a life well-lived. Joe was fortunate to call two women his wife. The former Natalie (Overstreet) was his college sweetheart and lifelong friend. Joe found love again while traveling the world, and convinced smart and beautiful Fon to follow him to California to be his wife. Their time together was filled with love, but much too short. Joe is survived by his wife, Fon Ramsey, step-son Methawanon, parents, Bill and Bernice Ramsey and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
